Follow These Strategies to Use it Properly

Most people treat ChatGPT like a fancy search engine, but they're missing its true power. Feeding it vague prompts is a rookie mistake. It's like asking a master chef to whip up something random with zero direction.
Let me show you how to be a ChatGPT black belt:
Be specific. Don't ask vague questions. Give ChatGPT details to work with.
Prompt Example:
Write a plot summary for a comic book about a teenage superhero who gets powers from a magic ring, fights crime in New York City, and has to keep their identity secret from their family.
Ask follow-up questions. If the response isn't what you wanted, rephrase your prompt. Keep guiding ChatGPT until you get it right.
Prompt Example:
That plot is good, but can you add more details about the superhero's secret identity and their struggles with balancing school/family life?
Provide context. Give ChatGPT background info so it understands what you need.
Prompt Example:
I need tips for an email marketing campaign promoting a new fitness app targeted at busy working professionals aged 25-40 who want short, intense workouts they can do at home
Talk naturally. You don't need special prompts. Just ask questions like you'd ask a friend.
Be polite. If ChatGPT makes a mistake, just rephrase the question nicely. A little respect goes a long way with AIs.
Use examples. Want creative ideas? Give ChatGPT a setup to riff on.
Prompt Example:
Write a short children's story about a magical treehouse that can transport kids to any place or time period they imagine. For example, they could travel to ancient Egypt, the prehistoric era with dinosaurs, or the future world of flying cars and robot butlers. The treehouse should have talking animal protectors that accompany the kids on their adventures. Get creative with describing the different worlds they explore and the challenges they face!
Control length. At times, the model may produce either too lengthy or too brief responses. You can set the max length for ChatGPT's output or keep it going until you stop it.
Leave feedback. If ChatGPT gets something wrong, let it know so it can improve. By providing feedback, you guide ChatGPT on what a good response is. You help it refine its understanding and generate more precise answers.
