Ever wished you could prompt ChatGPT at lightning speed?

Well, buckle up. I'm about to show you how.

It's called the Hotkeys Prompting Method. And it's about to change your AI game forever.

You're wasting time typing the same prompts over and over. It's like dialing phone numbers by hand in 2024. Ridiculous, right?

But what if you could "speed dial" your prompts?

That's exactly what this method does. It's simple, powerful, and will save you hours.

Here's how it works:

  1. Identify your go-to prompts.

  2. Store them in ChatGPT using "hotkeys"

  3. Use these hotkeys to access your prompts instantly.

Example:

Type "!R" before any text, and BOOM. ChatGPT rephrases it instantly.

No more typing out "Please rephrase this for me" every single time.

It's that easy.

Want to set it up? Here's a quick rundown:

Step 1:

First, go to your custom instructions in ChatGPT. Visit chatgpt.com, click on your profile photo in the top right corner, and choose "Customize ChatGPT."

This will open the ChatGPT Custom Instructions menu.

Use the second box to define how ChatGPT should respond.

Step 2:

Paste the following text into the "How would you like ChatGPT to respond" section:

When I begin my prompt with the following hotkeys, follow these instructions:

!S - Provide a response that is straight to the point and no longer than one sentence.

!L - Provide a long, detailed response using headers and subheaders.

!T - Provide the response in a table format.

!B - Provide the response in bullet points format.

!P - Proofread the text provided.

!R - Rephrase the text provided.

!3 - Provide 3 different output options for the prompt.

!10 - Provide 10 different output options for the prompt.

I can also combine hotkeys. For instance, "!R3" means to rephrase the text and provide me with 3 output options

Each hotkey specifies a particular instruction and always begins with a special character (!) to avoid accidental activation.

You can either copy my template above, which includes the prompts I commonly use or personalize it over time with your favorite prompts.

Once you're finished, click save. (Remember to check that the "Enable for new chats" toggle is selected below.)

Step 3:

Now, whenever you start a new chat, these instructions will be active in the background.

If you don't need them, that's fine use ChatGPT as you usually do.

However, when you want to use an instruction, simply type the corresponding hotkey along with your input, and ChatGPT will fulfill your request.

Now you're prompting at superhuman speed.

But here's the kicker:

You can combine hotkeys for even more power.

Want 10 rephrasing options? Just type "!R10".

It's like unlocking a new level in a game. Suddenly, you're playing with cheat codes.

And the best part? You can customize it all.
